Gmail App Released for iPhone/iPod/iPad touch devices

Update: A bug in the app, which broke notifications, has caused the Gmail app to be removed from iTunes for now. I will keep you posted, so check back again soon!

A long-time exclusive relationship of Google with my iPhone, today morning Google’s announcement that they have released an app for iPhone 4S that binds many native features of Gmail has been added more than a tad more spring to my step.

Even though I have never had an issue with connecting my phone to my Gmail account, as well reading and sending emails with comfort on the run, when I miss the other aspects of the full featured service of Google Mail, I enjoy while logged in on my Mac.

Beginners,  the Gmail app will work with the notification system built in an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, and it will alert you with a bubble box and sound (if wanted) whenever you get a new mail. A new search feature will let you to find older emails going as far back as the first Gmail ever sent or received. The threaded conversation concept of Gmail on your iPhone allows you to quickly scan through many conversations to find the one you like to read and respond too- a real time server.

The Earlier process of Gmail integration method had you read and leave emails in place, archive or delete them. This new native app allows you to take full advantage of archiving, labeling deleting, adding star alerts to conversations and many more. Suppose you received a piece of unwanted mail, and then simply add a spam alert to it. Since this Gmail system is synced between all logged in devices, alerts, your labels, and spam notifications are get automatic updates everywhere you check your mail.

I completely rely on their Gmail account, as do many Google fans, and look forward to putting this app through its paces over the next few days. Feel free to let everyone know your thoughts on the iOS Gmail app through comments.
